Teaching Protective Behaviours to Children
Child sexual assault is every parent's worst nightmare. This course teaches parents, guardians and care givers how to have conversations about protective behaviours with their children. This course is aligned with what is taught to children through the Australian Curriculum, and gives you a shared language to talk with your children about what they have learned in school.
It focuses on two themes:
1. We have the right to feel safe at all times.
2. We can talk to someone about anything no matter what it is.
Talk about warning feelings, private parts, body safety, good and bad secrets, and learn how to handle disclosures in trauma informed way.
